Company founder, Robert L. McComb Sr., passed on his knowledge and ethics to son, “Bob Jr.”, along with the business, approximately twenty years ago. The first generation of McCombs specialized in commercial projects, building over 150 churches in the Metro Detroit area, along with industrial and multi-family dwellings. Bob Jr. quickly became a “chip off the old brick”, as he grew up working with his Dad. When the commercial building market began to wane in the 1990’s, Bob Jr. successfully transitioned the company into residential building; beginning McComb Construction’s second generation.
